Baltimore, MD – July 17, 2025 – Skyline Technology Solutions (Skyline) announced that the Maryland Department of Information Technology (DoIT) has awarded Skyline Option Period 1 under the networkMaryland™ program, continuing a strategic partnership focused on delivering modern, secure, and resilient network services across the State of Maryland.
The networkMaryland™ program, led by the Maryland Department of Information Technology (DoIT), is a statewide initiative designed to provide centralized, resilient, and cost effective network infrastructure supporting the unique communication and technology needs of Maryland’s public sector. In partnership with DoIT on the program since 2010, and under the most recent contract since 2022, Skyline has worked in close collaboration with the State to support the program’s goals—modernizing infrastructure, enhancing service delivery, and improving network performance across more than 900 connected sites.
networkMaryland™—a key component of the program—is the State’s carrier-class enterprise network, supporting more than 120 agencies and public sector organizations through a combination of State-owned fiber and leased assets. With over 2,000 miles of fiber and more than 1,600 active network devices, networkMaryland™ plays a critical role in enabling cost-effective, high-speed, and secure connectivity across government services.
